A black family living in an all-white Chicago neighborhood must struggle to maintain their dignity in this drama written by Lorraine Hansberry, adapting her own 1959 Broadway smash. Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 1961 Cannes Film Festival.
There will be a talkback after the film led by Dr. Cara McClintock-Walsh, NCC Professor of English, Dr. Sharon Gavin-Levy, NCC Professor of English, and Sholomo Ben Levy, NCC Associate Professor of History.
